After doing my interview with Ben, one thing he mentioned particularly stuck out to me. He had asked if I was only going to be drawing and painting or if I was going to extrapolate it by maybe doing something interactive or involving the community, since other people doing projects were doing something similar. That was something that I had been thinking about, because I think I wanted to do something that would be more interactive or engaging, but the end product didn’t feel like what I wanted it to be and it didn’t quite give me the satisfaction I wanted. Ben suggested some things like maybe teaching kids techniques I learned or how to draw and things like that. However, none of those ideas really felt like what I wanted. I want to do something more interactive in a sense, but I’m not sure how. I want what I learned last year to be applied to something in a sense. I’m probably not making much sense right now, but I have a vague idea of the direction I want to go in in regards to extrapolating it but nothing definitive at the moment. I think I just want it to be something less personal in a way in the way that last year I was mainly the one that benefited from the project by experimenting and learning new things.
