Journal 8: Sketches

An idea I’ve been playing around with is not necessarily having fully finished pieces. Not in the procrastination idea we came up with last year, but as in a works in progress type of thing. Loose sketches, some done, some half finished, some painted over. The idea of how natural and organic and simple it is makes it interesting, and it’s definitely an area I haven’t really touched upon much since I try to keep my sketches as tight and perfect as possible. Like for example, just various paintings, sketches, drawings etc. on a large sheet of canvas. It could be somewhat cohesive or not related at all, but I think something like that would be interesting to have and incorporate because I think progress and half done works are the most interesting and the loss of perfection makes it really nice.
