Journal 9: Goal Post

For my next self designed assignment, I want to combine my attempt at drawing every day (which has failed as soon as school started due to lack of time to draw) and the emergent idea of the possible theme of identity. Starting from September 23, I will draw something, or work on something, that will somehow pertain to the theme of identity for 30 minutes each day. I think by setting aside a certain amount of time, it will encourage me to be more productive. However, the only problem I foresee is that I won’t be sure what to draw, and if that’s the case, then identity is probably not a good theme for me to carry throughout the year. I will do this assignment up to September 29. However, I may want to continue the 30 minutes per day regimen if it works out well since I think that sometimes it is easy to think I don’t have time for something, but that amount of time could easily be wasted doing something unproductive without realizing it.
