-What is the goal or end product of your project?

-Why did you choose identity as the theme?

-How do you plan on incorporating interactive art more or art that may impact other people?

-Has your theme of identity and nature been realized through your work?

-To what extent has art influenced other EMC projects?

As of right now, I do not have a specific goal in mind. I would like to just have a collection of pieces under the theme of identity as my end product, and maybe display them somewhere. I think as I work more on pieces, I’ll have a better idea of what my goal/end point will be. I chose the theme of identity due to its flexibility, and how vague it is. I think identity is a concept that most people struggle with, and it can produce boundaries that they use to restrain themselves. Identity is something that is applicable to everyone, but each person could have their own struggles in regards to identity or how they conform to what they believe defines their identity. I think throughout my work in the past years, there has been an inclination towards the themes of nature and identity. It may be more discreet and less noticeable in some pieces and more noticeable in others, but I think with every piece it can be connected to personal identity in some way- after all, the artist did choose to create that piece for a reason and it must pertain to their identity in some way for the to be so intrigued and interested to create the piece.

I really want to do something that involves other people this year. I feel like my project is very self focused, and I really want to do something that helps the community embrace art, or benefit them in some way. I am not sure how to do so yet, and my collaborative art piece with fellow emc kids has not been going as smoothly as I would’ve liked, so I might reconsider some things.

I think art has little influence on other emc projects. It influences some people’s projects more, such as Silma’s where she creates art pieces as well. It also could possibly influence some people’s projects if they tried to connect it with art, such as Alex’s project. Art is deeply tied with religion, and a lot of the most important paintings that have ever been created are rooted in religion. However, the more scientific based projects it would probably not affect as much unless it came down to the aesthetic of an object or item or scientific illustrations.
